I finished my reflection!!

It has been a long journey but I am super proud of the results.

My film is finally done! I cant even tell you how happy I am about it! The past seven weeks all in one project! I am very excited to show everyone my product but for this post I thought I would share some of my favorite shots.

Editing the Movie

I finally finished editing my movie and I realized that I was missing two very important shots! I don't know how I could have forgotten about them. Well everything else went well with the editing and I am super excited to put the final pieces together when I get back home from my trip this weekend. 

One of the main shots I am missing shows the intruder walking into the hotel room, which I need in order to show that someone is waiting to come inside the room. Other than that I am all good.

Soon I will make sounds to along with my movie, I am going to try to use a lot of foley.

Finally!!

I met with Mariana today at a hotel room and we were talking about what I wanted to do with   he film opening. After a ling discussion, we began filming, and I noticed a lot of the shots were difficult to shoot, but I finally got them all thew way I wanted except for one of them! The last shot where I wanted to show the girl being taken was extremely hard to do, and there was no way for me to get it just right. I had to do something different rather than her being dragged away from the bed... Now she is shown taken with a plastic bag on her head.  Its not really where I wanted to go but I didn't know what else to do.

I am going away this weekend so I am going to be editing it tomorrow night and hopefully finishing everything up so I can do my CCR next week!

The Script

I have been debating for a while what I want to have the protagonist say, if I have her say anything. After careful consideration, I decided I want the girl to come of as quirky, and the audience will see her in the beginning staring at the TV doing something to show this off. The only words I am going to put in the film opening are a man calling through the phone telling her to hide herself. It will most likely go like this, "He found us, you need to hide the case." I wanted to build the suspense the most I could, and introducing something valuable could really set my opening up and leave the 2 minutes on a cliffhanger. 

Now that I know everything I am going to do, I am going to start filming (really late, I know!!) tomorrow in a hotel room. Ive spoken with Mariana and explained to her what we are going to do and we are both very confident in her abilities.

My Title

Since the beginning, I have known that I want to call my film Close Encounter. The name of the film opening gives a sort of false sense of security. When watching the opening, I want the audience to think the girl will get away, but she doesn't, so it makes the watchers want to keep on watching, as the suspense has been built up. The title also sounds very fast paced and on edge, as the film will be.
